Day 12 of the Australian Open
Tennis Majors is investing the daily full capital on the following event, that in our opinion is absolutely the best bet of the Day 12 of the Australian Open and a clear mistake by the bookies.

Rafael Nadal to beat Grigor Dimitrov

Date: 27 January 2017
Time: 07.30pm Local Time (10.30am CET)
Tournament: Australian Open (Men's)
Round: 1/2

Event: Rafael Nadal vs Grigor Dimitrov

PICK: Rafael Nadal TO WIN
Odds: 1.45
Strength: Full Confidence

Rafael Nadal is already one of the best player of the tennis history.
The Spanish is 30 years old and he won 69 tournaments, including 14 Grand Slam events.
Nadal is one of the best solid player from the baseline, he is able to play defensively like nobody else and with his left-handed forehand he can manage to get winners and open the court.
After a couple of years with serious injuries, Nadal got back to a great physical shape and every week is getting better and better, close to a good version of him.
He played this year the exitibition in the UAE and in Brisbane and here in Melbourne he beated such a hot player like Zverev, Monfils and finally Raonic in straight sets, showing to be playing better and better, every match with more confidence.

Grigor Dimitrov is an extremely talented Bulgarian 25 years old player.
The Bulgarian in his early seasons has been often compared to Roger Federer for his incredible talent and very similar one-hand backhand.
He is a very all around player, extremely complete on his game, he has a good service, good forehand, very wonderful backhand and can play from the baseline and go to the net as well, having a great physical shape.
Dimitrov faced a couple of poor seasons during last couple of years, but this season he started extremely strong, winning Brisbane beating such players as Raonic and Nishikori, playing brilliant, almost unbreakable and showing to get back to the right confidence to fully play his tennis.
On this Australian Open he reached the semifinal pretty easily, but maybe Nadal is the first "real" top player he will face and here will see how he will be able to handle things to the long distance.

Keys

Experience at this stage:
Rafael Nadal has won 14 Grand Slam events and he knows for sure how to handle the pressure on this kind of matches, where to be focused it's probably the biggest key and most important factor.
For Grigor Dimitrov this is going to be the first Grand Slam semifinal of his career and who played tennis knows how hard is to handle the pressure where you never got to this stage.
Nadal has an enormous advantage on this aspect.

3/5 Sets:
If we were talking about 2/3 sets, we could also expect a perfect Dimitrov that in less than 2 hours will play at his best and would get a lot of chances to win the match, but 3/5 sets is another sport, the distances changes everything and it gives without any doubt an extreme vantage to the Spanish Rafael Nadal.
Either mentally and physically this will be another big key for the player from Mallorca's island.

Hard Court, but not as fast:
We are sure for Dimitrov would have been way better to play on a faster surface, like Brisbane for example. Dimitrov doesn't really have an impressive service where he gets a lot of free points out of it and to expect Grigor to battle and win long points for 3 or more hours it's really far from our reality.

Service and Winners:
It is clear to everybody that if you want to beat this Nadal on this surface, you should be able to serve great and get a lot of free points out of it and get a lot of winners with high speed to not to give the chance to Nadal to run on the baseline.
Dimitrov plays a beautiful tennis, very stylish, but he doesn't have neither such powerful service or high speed winners and this will be another key factor on the match.

Verdict:
We could keep saying different keys on this match, the truth is that all goes in Nadal's favor and to us he is going to be the clear winner of this match.
